Found: This species can be found mainly in the South and Southeast of Asia, and are most likely to be sighted in forested areas across Thailand.

Description: The Black Baza is a small bird, with a black upper foliage and head, small dark beak, and a very distinctive crest of white and brown stripes.

Diet: Mainly insects in the forests, some have been witnessed attempting to catch smaller birds by flying into swarms of them.

Comment: Black Bazas spend a lot of their time in small groups, perching together high up on bare branches in the forests. They are said to have a fairly strong odour, which has been described as being distinctively bug-like.
