Found: The Asian Pied Starling is found mainly in India and the countries surrounding it. In Thailand they will live on plains and foothills, usually in areas with access to open water.

Description: These birds can be identified by their black and white colouring, as well as their yellow bill with its orange base. They have a deep orange patch around their eyes that contrasts with their white cheeks.

Diet: This species will feed upon grains, fruit, insects, earthworms and molluscs.

Comments: The ability of these mynas to mimic human voices made them popular as cagebirds.
