Acridotheres burmannicus

Size: 22cm

Found: This species will be found in SouthEast Asia. In Thailand they will be witnessed mainly in the East, and live generally in open grassland, gardens and playing fields, as well as other cultivated areas.

Description: The Vinous-breasted starling is a medium-sized bird with a pale head, a brown-gray breast and belly, and glossy balck wings. They have patches of white across the wings and tail also.

Diet: These birds will feed primarily on fruits and insects.

Comments: Vinous-breasted starlings often emit distinctive chattering noises, and their call is a Loud and harsh “chew-ii”, “tchew-iri-tchew-iri-tchieuw” sound.
