Geokichla citrina

Found: This species is mainly found across Southeast Asia in well-wooded areas, where they will build their nests in small trees or bushes.

Description: The Orange-headed thrush has a slate grey colouring across the wings and back, with a distinctively bright orange head and breast. They also have a short grey beak and tawny coloured legs.

Diet: The diet of these birds consists mainly of insects, earthworms and fruits.

Comments: This species is a very popular cage-bird on Java, and numbers have severely declined in recent years owing to their being trapped for aviculture.
