Found: It is found in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. A common bird in gardens and lowland forests in central Thailand and in mangrove forests in the south.
Description: Dark plumage with a long, broad tail – genders look alike. Narrow black breast band contrasting with a white throat and whitish belly. Upperparts dark/slaty grey; tail black tipped with white; eyebrows are white.
Diet: A range of insects.
Comments: It is locally referred to as muria gila, literally “crazy thrush” in the Malay language.
