Found: These birds can be found across Southeast Asia, and in Thailand they are mainly found in the Eastern regions.
Description: The Yellow-rumped Flycatcher can easily be identified by its bright colouring. The males have black upper foliage with streaks of white, and a bright yellow rump on their undersides. The females have a duller olive toned coloring overall, with their rump being a more muted yellow. Both genders also have a relatively long tail and short beaks.
Diet: This species will mainly feed on fruits and berries, as well as various invertebrates.
Comment: When breeding, these birds will lay a clutch of between 4 and 7 eggs, with the female incubating them for around 11 days. They will mainly breed in low valleys at the base of hills, and forage for food to give their young around here.
