Found: Being found across much of Southern Asia and all across Thailand, crested serpent-eagles live primarily over areas with thick vegetation both on low hills and on plains.

Description: This species can be identified by a dark streak of feathers across the head, a thick and sturdy neck, a yellow face and brown toned foliage.

Diet: Bird of this species are reptile eaters – often hunting for snakes and lizards in dense bush close to wetlands.

Comment: Crested Serpent-Eagles roost in the interior of trees with dense foliage and will spend the vast majority of their day perched on branches, hunting for food in the morning hours.
